JOIN HCA – Heavy Constructors Association

Since 1950, the Heavy Constructors Association of the Greater Kansas City Area has been the advocate for public works in both Kansas and Missouri. The HCA remains committed to delivering needed improvements to Kansas City’s highways, roads, bridges, airports, rivers, sanitary water and storm water systems. Our quality of life as we know it depends on these facilities which we use each and every day.

MEMBER ACTIVITIES

The HCA is a recognized leader in the campaign for higher investments in public works via driving positive public sentiment and engaging politicians to champion better roads, bridges and waterways to better the Kansas City metro area.

The HCA maintains close contact with public officials and supports candidates for public office at the federal, state, county and city levels in both Kansas and Missouri.

Members also enjoy the HCA benefit of providing social settings for our members to meet informally. These include:

Annual banquet – attended by over 500 people including local and state public works officials and mayors.

Our Two Annual Golf Tournaments: The Annual Jim Kissick Memorial in May & Don Clarkson Classic and Safety Awards in September, where members compete and network and have the opportunity to sponsor holes and skills challenges.

Host the HCA’s Employee Appreciation Night at Kauffman Stadium, where annually over 3,000 employees and their families are our guests at a Kansas City Royals baseball game.

If you are not presently an AGC member, this is a requirement to be an HCA member. You may download the AGC New Member Application form below with the appropriate HCA form located in the matrix, complete both and provide payment for both to HCA. Completed applications may be emailed to info@heavyconstructors.org or contact HCA at 816.753.6443 for more information.

Upon approval by our Board of Directors, your membership certificate and HCA Directories will be sent to you.

SPECIALTY CONTRACTOR

Subcontractors bidding on and performing contracts not covered by HCA Union Agreements, i.e. companies that do traffic control, painting, striping, guard rail, fence, seeding, sodding, sweeping electrical, maintenance, etc…
